On August 4, 2018 the Florida Authors and Publishers Association presented Dee Mountcastle with two gold medals during their Presidential Awards Dinner. The awards categories were Florida Juvenile Fiction and Juvenile Fiction. Mark Barie of the FAPA made the presentations.
